George Donnelly

George is an experienced HR director with a successful track record at executive level within complex and demanding industries. He focuses on result driven strategies and maximising employee effectiveness by creating an empowering culture based upon talent management.
He began his career with Babcock and Wilcox as an apprentice engineer before being promoted to the role of Engineering Instructor. Later career moves resulted in George assuming responsibility for Personnel Management and Industrial Relations with leading industrial companies including, Redpath Dorman Long, NEI Thompson, Flow Control and Terex before joining ABB Vetco as Human Resources Director.
George became an associate of Symphony in 2011 where he has continued to develop his capabilities in:
- Workforce reorganisation and restructuring
- Human Resource Strategy
- Leadership and High Potential Talent Development programmes
- Employee retention strategies (particularly during times of change)
- Psychometric profiling
George is also a graduate of Strathclyde University and an accredited practitioner in both neuro-linguistic programming and psychometric testing.
